Ruby is not a top language in 2021

I read from IEEE Spectrum, and I found out that Ruby is in the 16th position of language popularity.

I think Ruby lost a lot of positions when Python took over the Machine Learning space. Also, Ruby lost significant clout when JavaScript took over the crow for web app development, especially one-page apps.

Ruby on Rails is not slow compared to the frameworks used on JS-based tools, but the market has moved on.

Also, with the rise of native apps, Java and Swift increased in popularity.
